The tips are very good but here are some essential tips which you should follow for the good design
1. Do not keep the graphics and animation too much.
2. Give some effective offers through design to attract new users.
3. Give clear Site map in the website that is important for the search engines and users.
4. Set the margins of the web page in the design.
5. Do not include audio sounds in the design of the web page.
6. Do not over use the scripting languages in the design.

2. Implement Site Search
