How to Increase Google page rank

I have been building my blog for around six months now. I know that is still fairly new so I'm not expecting super awesome page rank, but something would be nice. It is a wordpress blog and I have created a Google sitemap and all that. I can find my site on Google but it is not a good ranking, not even close.
